Your journey begins here.
Putting someone in control of your training can feel extremely daunting, it’s a huge deal and not to be taken lightly, but here’s just a few things that I personally feel that make having a coach game-changing.
Accountability - Knowing that someone is invested in your progress creates a sense of responsibility, making it way less likely to skip a session or not give it your all.
Precision - You’ll avoid wasting hours on useless exercises or doing a session that won’t align with your goals, everything you do will have a reason and specifically target whatever it is you’re trying to achieve.
Education - You’ll understand why you’re doing what you’re doing, for me one of the most enjoyable parts of training is learning about what certain exercises or types of sessions do for me, so then knowing why will give you more of a reason to keep getting after it.
Efficiency - Time is money, having a PT means you don’t waste time on wondering what to do next, what muscle group to train or how many reps. You get to switch your brain off a little, turn up and tick off the exercises like your doing your weekly food shop.
This is only the first few that I feel are most valuable, I haven’t even touched on improving technique, motivation, progress tracking, adaptations and the reassurance of having someone in your corner every step of the way. There is however one thing I as a PT cannot do for you, and that’s the work itself. I can provide all the knowledge, structure and guidance you need but only you can turn up and put in the work. Progress comes from consistency, especially on the days where you don’t feel like it. I’m not here to just give you a programme and send you off to figure it out, I want to show you that training can be enjoyable and the perks are endless. I want to help you understand your training, give you a genuine human connection to relate back to and be there for when you need it, build confidence in your image and show you what your body is capable of and ultimately go on to achieve things you never thought were possible. I get how wishy washy this can sound and you’ve probably read things like this a million times from other PT’s. But I’ve now spent the last year coaching myself, seeing what works and what doesn’t, putting that philosophy to the test and finally I feel like now I’m ready to help you do the same.
